Rustic Mama goes Wilderness First Aid (WFA) 4 days over 2 Weekends

his is an “All-Inclusive Event” at Camp White Pine in the beautiful Haliburton area!

This is a joint project with “Rustic Mama Retreats” and “FACT Plus Inc.”

This is a four-day  (two weekends)  Wilderness First Aid Course. Participants will learn and apply the the basics of surviving in the wilderness.

Audience:

Suitable for individuals who live or work in non-urban, remote or wilderness workplaces or communities.

Environment:

• Remote workplaces or communities (2 or more hours from organized health care)
• Wilderness (less than 3 hours from organized health care)

Planned Trip: Day trip Care: Participants learn skills and strategies for providing care in a remote setting for up to 24 hours Key Learning Concepts:

• Planning, prevention, and situational awareness
• Wound care
• Environmental emergencies

Requirements:

• participants must be 18 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian
• completion of FACT Plus Inc two forms upon completion of registration (https://www.factplus.ca/copy-of-wilderness-participant-forms) 
• FACT Plus Inc will provide clients with a kit list of recommended clothing etc.
• Equipment required will be provided for clients to use “for the duration” of the course giving you the opportunity to try different tools before investing in your own outdoor gear.

Investment:

$860  HST incl.

Included with your Ticket is:

• Four nights (2 each weekend) shared accommodations in cabins
• Delicious catered meals incl., four Breakfasts, (Saturday/Sunday) four lunches (Saturday/Sunday), four dinners (Friday/Saturday)
